Paul Moat ~ Original artwork

Paul Moat produces abstract paintings using mixed media on canvas to create heavy textures. He draws inspiration from the contours of tree bark and volcanic rock, applying a technique designed to generate a unique contrast of colours. This includes the use of iron oxide paints, which actually produce rust. He also uses copper paint, which includes real metal particles that allow patina effects to form on exposed surfaces.

The work that Paul produces is designed to work on two levels, providing a visual impact and generating a sense of wanting to touch and feel the contours.

Roger Coulam ~ Photography

Roger Coulam was born in Lincolnshire in 1965, but wound his way to the North East of England after an education in Yorkshire and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Always interested in the power and extremes of nature, Roger visited the USA in 2000 and became part of a Storm Chasing Team. Having photographed lightning, storms & tornadoes, he established a reputation as a severe weather photographer.

Roger increasingly eschews digital photography in favour of more traditional black & white silver printing techniques. Since 2007, he has focused solely upon changing the direction and nature of his fine art picture making.

Sue Mills ~ Jewellery

Sue Mills incorporates a mix of vintage, glass, porcelain and wood beads in each of her individually designed pieces. Sue's creations are inspired by the textures and colours of the diverse range of beads that she uses in her necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Susan Bridgewater ~ Original artwork

Susan Bridgewater is a local artist who, having been brought up in an artistic environment, went on to study fine art at Northumbria University. The subjects of Susan’s paintings are diverse and often evolve into a celebration of texture and colour, with inspiration often taken from nature.
